Blood Rhesus and Blood Group

Blog group type O is available in all over the world. The special properties of O blood group as universal can be a donor for every type of blood group. The most important types of blood group are the ABO and rhesus types. Depending on the antigen on the red blood cell (RBC), blood group type is determined and identified. The blood group divided into A, B, AB or O. AB negative and B negative that very rare on blood types, however O positive blood is a common type on blood group.

People with A blood group have type A antigens adhering to the surface of the RBC with anti-B antibodies present in the plasma, while people with B blood group have type A antigens adhering to the surface of the RBC with anti-A antibodies present in the plasma.

AB blood group type is a people with AB blood group that have type A and type B antigens adhering to the surface of the RBC. Moreover, they do not have any antibodies (anti A and anti B) in the plasma. People with O blood group types do not have type A or type B antigens adhering to the surface of the RBC, but they do have anti-A and anti-B antibodies in plasma.

Plasma on the blood contains certain antibody will attack to specific antigen if present. People with A, B or O blood group will have antibodies that destroy some of the other blood groups, for example people with A blood group will not able to receive B blood group. People with O blood group can't receive of other type blood group, while people with AB blood group do not produce antigen for other blood group.

Beside the blood group there is a rhesus of each blood group, blood rhesus are positive (+) or negative (-). If people has Rh negative blood, then their body forms antigen against Rh positive blood to destroy it. The contact of those opposite rhesus can happened on blood transfusion. The different combination of blood groups are A positive, A negative, B positive, B negative, AB positive, AB negative and O positive, O negative. These combination are possible to the antigen antibody compatibility issues.

People with O positive blood can be given to people with other positive blood type such as A positive, B positive, or AB positive blood type. People with O positive can receive just from O positive or O negative, but people with negative rhesus just can receive blood with O negative rhesus. The different concept as on that formula can causes blood clothing. O negative blood can be given to anybody during emergency situation wherein there is no time to identify the blood group type.
